Quick Summer OOTD: Cute Overalls And The Cutest Yellow Shirt!
Hey guys! Just checking in to say that I have finally pulled out all of my overalls and shorts from last summer and I can't wait to style them this week! This pair of overalls came from Gap last summer and I am so glad I decided to keep them! Not only are they comfortable BUT they can also be styled in so many different ways! I don't know about you guys but the summertime is going to be all about these little shorts! When I purchased these there was also a pair that were in white and dark denim and I wish I would have purchased the dark denim as well! But for now, I guess I will be happy with the light wash because it can be paired with dark and light colors! I can list a good five reasons why I love these overalls and convenience is definitely one of them! As a matter of fact, let's go ahead and list them all!
5 Reasons Why I Love Overalls In The Summer
- First and foremost, convenience! All you need are a couple different shirts and then you're good to go! Thank me later!
- A good pair of overalls will literally keep you SUPER cool in the summertime as well!
- Unlike jeans, once you own a long pair and short pair, you won't need anything else in your closet! #RewearingMyOutfitsAllSummerLong
- Overalls are literally the only type of jeans that you can have in multiple colors and feel confident while wearing them! I mean I know that's the truth for me!
- #COMFORT! Seriously, the if you only invest in one item all summer I would say get a pair of light/dark wash styled overalls to complete your summer wardrobe! You won't regret it!
Overalls have come along way from what they were originally used for! According to Wikipedia:
"Overalls is a type of garment which is usually used as protective clothing when working. The garment is also referred to as a "pair of overalls" by analogy with "pair of trousers. Overalls were originally made of denim, but they can also be made of corduroy or chino cloth. So as you can see, overalls have taken on an entire lifestyle of its own! I bet when overalls were first made, no one thought it would turn into the phenomenon that it is today! As a matter of fact, I still have memories from my childhood wearing a good ole pair of oshkosh b'gosh overalls as a kiddo!
