Honey, I LOOOVVE To EAT: Gimmee ALL The Waffles, Blueberry Cheerios & Yummy Coffee!
Hello and happy Monday everyone! How has your weekend been so far? Mine has been awesome that's for sure! It was filled with fun, family and LOTS of yummy food to enjoy! And speaking of food, as most of you know, ya girl has been trying to do better about eating breakfast before I leave the house and I can honestly say that I have gotten A LOT better at it this time around! I feel like it has been easier for me since I have set aside quick and easy breakfast ideas that I can eat when I am in a hurry! Last week I decided to document EVERYTHING that I ate for breakfast and share it with you guys today!
MONDAY
I don't know about you guys but I start every morning off with coffee! However, I recently decided to cut back on my intake and limit myself to only 2 cups this week and I chose Monday as the day to use my golden ticket! Normally when I drink coffee it keeps me full for a few hours but lately, it hasn't been doing that at all! I am not sure if I have become immune to it but by the time I finish my first cup I am instantly ready to chow down on some food!
Since I didn't have any plans to leave the house, it gave me the initiative to get up and cook a little breakfast! I don't cook breakfast every morning but when I do, it has to be on my "non-busy" days or else It will throw me entirely off schedule for the day.
I decided to pour myself a yummy glass of orange juice paired with a boiled egg, bacon, and smothered potatoes for breakfast! This food was sooooo yummy that I ended up eating the rest for lunch as well! I must warn you though, it will put you into a food coma so prepare at your own risk!
TUESDAY
On Tuesday I decided to keep it really simple and eat a quick bowl of cereal before I left the house! Grant it, I'm not the biggest cereal eater in the world but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! I chose these blueberry cheerios because my sister said that they tasted amazing and I must agree that they are pretty tasty! I don't like super sweet/sugary cereal so this was the perfect balance of whole grain with a small hint of flavor! I would definitely recommend you to try it!
WEDNESDAY
By the time Wednesday had arrived, I was totally losing it in life and was waking up later than usual! That is why simple on-the-go meals are very important and convenient for me. On this day I chose to grab an apple and a Quaker breakfast bar to throw in my purse on the way out the door! I was determined to have my breakfast for the day even if that meant eating it in the car! Ha!
THURSDAY
Lately, I have become completely obsessed with oatmeal in every way possible so it was a no brainer that I would have this at some point in the week! I have been loving the maple brown sugar oatmeal with bananas, cookie butter, and pecans on top! If you haven't tried your oatmeal this way then I can assure you that you are truly missing out! This is such a simple and affordable way to make a yummy breakfast at home and will help you save on money as well!
FRIDAY
As you can tell, by the time Friday hit I needed another quick alternative for breakfast! When I am in a hurry I will always grab a banana and Oikos yogurt to go! My favorite flavor at the moment is strawberries & cream because it pairs perfectly with the banana! Yummy!
SATURDAY
As you can see, the more the week progressed the more I fell into the habit of finding breakfast that would be quick for me to eat! You can never go wrong with a bagel topped with cookie butter and bananas and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! Ha!
SUNDAY
And as a little bonus, I think it's important to know when to treat yourself! If you have made it through the week eating breakfast at home, I don't see a problem with stopping and grabbing a quick bit with a friend or on the go! So if you have time, go get those chicken and waffles and live your BEST life! HA!
Anyways, that's just a little round up of everything I have eaten in the past week! I think I did pretty good with eating breakfast this week and will continue to do so! I noticed that I was a lot more productive than when I just leave the house on an empty stomach! I love that I had more energy and want to continue on this path of eating three good meals a day! I'll keep you guys updated on my little food journey and if there are any changes in the coming weeks! Before I sign off for the day, what do you guys like to have for breakfast? Share the deets and let me know in the comments down below!
