Life Lately: Fun & New Mugs

Hello and how it going! Long time no write right? Ha! Did you like that little pun? Lol! Ok, enough with the jokes, let’s jump right into this post for the New Year. You know me, I am always out here living my life and sometimes it gets a little hard to blog but all that is about to change for 2024. Blogging is my first love and though it seems like a dying art form, it is my longest digital footprint across the internet. Don’t get me wrong, I love social media at the moment (especially TikTok) but sometimes life gets so busy that I forget to post. However, this year will be different, I want to document more of those small moments like I used to. Totally unedited and raw. That’s the goal for the New Year and this space. Anyway, enough about that, let’s catch up, shall we?

Let's talk mug magic!

You know, those trusty ceramic companions that hold our morning sunshine, late-night cocoa cuddles, and everything in between. It's funny how something so simple can add such a spark to daily life, right?

Lately, I've been on a bit of a mug mission. Not just buying them (though new finds are always fun!), but actively infusing my day with the joy they bring. It's a small shift, but the impact has been surprisingly big. Here's how:

1. Ritual Reset: That first sip from a quirky new mug, hot tea warming my hands, feels like a tiny reset button. It's a chance to pause, breathe, and set the tone for the day with intention. No rushing, no scrolling, just me and my mug, ready to embrace whatever adventures await.

2. Personal Cheerleader: Every mug seems to have a personality, don't you think? Some whisper encouragement with cheeky slogans, while others radiate sunshine with bold colors. Choosing a mug that speaks to me, even in a silly way, feels like surrounding myself with little cheerleaders, reminding me to smile, stay positive, and face the day with a playful spirit.

3. Mindful Moments: We all know the perils of mindless mug-refilling. But with my newfound appreciation, each pour becomes a mini mindfulness ritual. The gurgle of the kettle, the steam dancing in the air, the careful selection of tea leaves – it's a chance to be present, to savor the simple act of making something for myself.

4. Connection Catalyst: Sharing a mug moment with a friend, over steaming lattes or laughter-filled cocoa, instantly deepens the connection. It's a silent invitation to slow down, listen, and be present with each other, without the distractions of screens or schedules.

So, yeah, it's all about mugs. But really, it's about finding joy in the little things, slowing down to appreciate the moment, and infusing our lives with intention and connection. And while a fun mug might be the spark, the real magic comes from how we choose to embrace it.

So, tell me, friends, what makes your day sparkle? What rituals, big or small, bring you that little burst of joy? Share your mug magic in the comments, and let's celebrate the simple things that make life beautiful!

Reading Goals

In 2024, amidst the relentless churn of technology and information overload, reading feels like a radical act of rebellion. It's a defiant pause, a reclamation of stillness in a world spinning fast. Each cracked spine is a portal, not to escape, but to engage. A chance to wrestle with ideas, empathize with strangers, and push the boundaries of our own understanding. To read in 2024 is to choose growth, to nurture curiosity, to stoke the embers of imagination in a world desperately needing its light. Inhale a tale, exhale a transformed perspective. This year, let words be your weapon, your solace, your passport to a universe untold.

A Promise and a Reflection:

As the clock strikes midnight on this New Year, I make a vow not just to write more, but to write deeper, to write bolder, to write with the fire of passion and the ink of truth. 2024 will be a year of journeys, both on the page and off, and I invite you to join me. Let's explore the uncharted territories of our own imaginations, share our discoveries, and build a world where stories bloom like wildflowers in the sun. Happy New Year, and here's to a year of scribbling, sharing, and celebrating the power of words!

Always Living and Forever Learning,
