Here Is The One Thing I Always Score From The Thrift Store
Hey guys and welcome to a brand new blog post! I don’t know about you guys but I am glad that today is Thursday because that means we are one day closer to Friday which basically means it’s the weekend! Ha! I wish it worked like that! I think it’s time we migrate to 4 day weekends as a society! Who’s with me? Lol! Anyways, enough chatter, let’s get down to the real reason why I’m writing this post, shall we?
A few weeks ago I decided to take myself on a little thrift trip in search of some items for my room and a few new books to read. Since I have been using Zoom quite a bit I just think it’s time to give my background a little bit of a refresh! Grant it, my room looks pretty cute but I honestly feel like If I spruce up a little spot then it makes me feel more motivated to get dressed up for my Zoom calls!
Anyways, after looking around a little bit I started to realize that there wasn’t anything that resonated with my decorating spirit so I decided to check out the book section. If reading books could be a personality trait I swear I would put that at the top of my resume! I just love reading and it is such a great way to escape the internet/real world especially with everything that is going on at the moment! It’s essential to have things that you can do that keep your brain refreshed, and for me, that is getting lost in a book! One of the cheapest ways to buy books them from the thrift store and when I am done reading them I either donate them to the library or share them with a friend! I do have the Kindle app and sometimes I will download books, but I will always believe that there isn’t anything better than opening the pages of an old used book. It is truly therapeutic! #KEPPBOOKSALIVEPEOPLE
Annnnnd of course I couldn’t help myself and I just HAD to hop over into the purse section! Lord knows I don’t need anymore handbags but it doesn’t hurt anyone to take a peep does it? Ha!
Well, you know the shopping saga doesn’t end here! I had to take one more look into the decor section and I am convinced that today was just not the day to look for room decor unless I wanted to take this old man home with me! Spoiler alert…. I did NOT!
Once again….more Raggedy Ann dolls! Before 2021 ends I really want to know what is the thrift store’s obsession with these dolls! And more importantly, who has them in their homes to even donate?
Ok, so hear me out! I did NOT go into the thrift store for these earrings but guess what? I bought them anyway! These beauties were only $2 and they are sooo worth it! I plan on styling them up this weekend when the weather warms up a bit! Do you guys think I purchased a great thrift find? Let me know in the comments down below!
