Restyle My Life: Getting Back To Me AGAIN!
Restyle My Life: The One Where I'm Tired Of Being Tired!
Hey guys and welcome to a brand new blog post! I am just sitting here drying my hair after finishing the last little section of my pamper session! I don't know about anyone else but I am SOOOO glad my mama is a hairstylist because that means ya girl always has a fresh look to rock no matter what's going on in the world! Grant it, I have let myself go a few times during this little phase that we are In but from this point forward I plan to keep it cute! I know outside isn't looking too great but that doesn't mean I gotta be walking around here looking crazy ALL the time! Sometimes it is OK but not every day! Ha! Anyways, I thought today would be a great time to sit down and chat while I unwind for the evening ahead!
Today was the first time I have worn makeup in a very long time and it has surely reminded me why I don't like to wear It during the summertime! Seriously, it's just waaaay too hot for it and ya girl will definitely be rocking that bare face this from this point forward!
One of the first things I love to do when I get home is to remove my makeup! I swear every time I THINK I only applied a little, I always prove myself wrong when I notice how many steps I have to take to actually have it removed! I love using my Abolene moisturizing cleanser to remove that first layer of makeup and then I move right into my Aveeno Miceller Gel Cleanser! Ugh, I just love this stuff and I can honestly say it makes removing my makeup faster and so much easier!
The next step in my routine is to clean my eyelashes! Yes, I clean them every time I wear them so that I can get a few uses out of each set! Lashes are too expensive to wear them once and throw them away so I am going to show you a simple trick I use to keep them cleaner and refreshed for longer periods of time!
One of the best things you can clean your lashes with is a micellar cleansing water solution! I absolutely love the one by Garnier and it's actually the only one I have been using for years now! You should never clean your lashes with anything like alcohol because lashes are sooo close to the eyes and can actually cause all types of skin irritations. That's why it is safer to use a toner that you already use on your face or because you already know it is possibly safe for the eye area as well!
This is seriously the easiest step in my night time routine because all you have to do is lay the lashes on the package that it came in, grab a cotton swab and swipe around the edges of the lashes so that you can remove any glue and excess makeup that may be left from previous uses!
And voila! Your lashes will feel brand new again! Oh, and don't forget to place them back on its packaging so that they can come back to their natural form again! I swear this method TRULY works like a charm!
Ahhh, you already know what time it is....yep, you guessed it! It's tea time! One of my favorite teas to use at the moment has been my Bedtime Bliss by Lipton because not only is it calming BUT it has been helping me rest easier at night time during this chaotic moment the world seems to be in right now!
Does anyone around here still use a teapot? I swear tea tastes so much better out when I boil water on the stovetop instead of the microwave! It's one of my favorite items in the kitchen
(besides the coffee maker of course) Ha!
And after my tea is ready I love to head to my room, in my comfy pajamas, and find a movie on Netflix!
I decided to finally sit down and watched
Uncorked! The movie is pretty good but I won't go into detail because I don't want to spoil it for anyone! Anyways, that's pretty much it for today's blog post! What have you guys been doing to unwind lately? Let me know in the comments down below!
