Hey yall and welcome to a brand new blog post! I am popping here on a little Sunday to show you guys what I have worn to a little day party recently! So sit back, relax and enjoy a quick little weekend read!!

I was recently approached about attending a last-minute day party and needless to say I was NOT ready for the occasion! Yeah, I have lots of cute clothes but ya girl didn't have anything that would be party official! It was then that I knew I had messed up and needed to make a quick run to a few stores! After doing a bit of shopping around I knew I needed to go back to the drawing board...my closet!

I VERY rarely have bad luck in stores but I recently just couldn't get it together! I don't know if it was because this party was thrown upon me at the last minute or what but I just didn't have any clue what I wanted to wear! And then it hit me! As I was riding back home to raid my closet, I remembered that I recently went shopping for a new dress to wear to a wedding and some of those looks could EASILY pass as a look for a day party! I didn't know why I didn't think about this before but I think it was because of my sudden urge to spend money that I KNOW I shouldn't be spending! Ha! Grant it, shopping through my wardrobe was no easy task but here are a few tips that I used to shop my wardrobe for this dress!

Wardrobe Tips And Ideas

• First things first, ya gotta look for things that you don't wear as often. If you keep leaning towards that one item that you wear once a week then you WILL NOT feel confident in the items that you picked out for the party! Try reaching for items that you haven't worn in a month or two and then try and build a new outfit from there!
• Next up, be sure to pick out more than ONE outfit from your closet! There is nothing worse than thinking you have the perfect look and then realize you need more options and you have to go back to the drawing board! Pick out every item at one time so that you don't have to start over!! Trust me, you will thank me later!
• Be sure to try on all of your options! If you haven't worn the item in quite some time then it may be a little stiff or may not fit the way you remembered it! I know it's time-consuming trying on clothes but trusts me, this is the most vital step and you will be thankful that you did it before you move on this next step!
• Once you find the item that you love, you can take the dress and wash it on delicate so that it can feel like brand new again! Once you wash and starch a dress I swear it will feel like it came fresh out of the store all over again!
• Last but not least, be sure to try on the full look with hair, makeup, and accessories so that you KNOW exactly what how you will look at the last-minute function and so that you won't have to look for anything on the day of the event. I don't know about you guys but I always feel very frazzled if I have to even look for an earring before I have to be somewhere so save yourself the drama and prepare waaaay ahead of time! You'll be amazed at how easy it is to get dressed without all of the anxiety of picking out your looks at the last minute!

So those are just a few tips and ideas that I like to use when I am picking out an outfit at the last minute! I use these tips all of the time and I swear it helps me with my daily wardrobe!
