The Sunday Edit: A Few Thoughts About The Day & Getting Ready For The Start Of The Week!
Hey guys and happy Sunday! It's the end of the weekend and though some people may find this stressful, I actually find it very relaxing. For some strange reason, I feel VERY recharged and ready to tackle the week ahead of me! I have been trying to get a bit more mindful about how I perceive Monday's because it's literally the first day of the workweek and if you hate it ALREADY then you're off on a bad start too early! As a matter of fact, can we pick another day to be mad at like Wednesday or something? I don't know about you guys but Wednesdays are the longest day of the week for me and I am always ready for them to pass by! Ha! Anyways, that's neither here nor there because at the end of the day we all have to plow through things that we don't like and I am learning that the hard way! That's why on Sunday's I love to relax and enjoy the small things around me no matter how busy the previous week has been. For the most part, I think I have a little routine down that has been working really well for me this summer and I have become pretty content with it! Today I will share a little bit of what I like to do to wind down on Sundays
(my super simple, easy and relaxed version)!
Relaxing Sunday
- I ALWAYS start the morning with a little prayer! It's nothing too long and drawn out, just a little thank you God for waking me this morning and get started with my day.
- Secondly, I have to have a good cup of coffee! I can't help myself and I am an entirely different person if I don't sit down with a nice warm cup in the morning.
- I never miss out on my morning gossip sessions with my mama, it's a daily routine now but it's more common on Sundays for sure!
- The next thing I love to do is make myself a warm breakfast! I don't know about you guys but I can't have my breakfast with my coffee but I always have my breakfast afterward. I think it's weird if I have it together and it definitely ruins my routine if I do it out of order! My go-to breakfast at the moment has been cinnamon rolls, bacon, hash browns, and a boiled egg! Yum!
- Next up, I always like to attend church or listen to it online! However, I must admit that there have been a few Sunday's where I have slept in and that has been absolutely lovely as well!
