Ok let's be honest here, today is not actually Sunday
(it's 11:31 pm, so almost Sunday) and I am currently decompressing from the longest day of decluttering of my life! Like how on earth does ONE person have so many things? Ugh! I also would like to know how on earth did I accumulate so much stuff over the summertime? Normally in the summer I always buy fewer things but it doesn't look that way for summer 2019! As a matter of fact, I threw away so much stuff I am actually STILL trying to figure out why I was navigating through so much in my life! Even though today was pretty hard, I am more than happy with the way my room feels now! I honestly feel a bit free now that I have cleared out the cracks and crevices of my room! Now don't get me wrong, I am no decluttering expert but I will say that I did need that little bit of self-care today? Does cleaning even qualify as self-care? I'm pretty sure it does because I am ONE happy camper when my room is clean, I have fresh laundry and I have washed my hair! Ha! #thisisrealityYALL Anyways, enough yapping and let's dive into this post, shall we?
Welp, today is NOW officially Sunday and ya girl cannot wait to have a little date with her pillow! I don't know about you guys but this has been a very long week and I feel like I need the day to completely relax and do nothing. I don't have those days very often so when I need them that means life was doing too much and I need a serious refuel! Grant it, there were definitely bigger things going on n this world this week but can I just let off a little bit of steam here? Not getting enough rest will make you do some crazy things, for instance, this week when I was putting away the groceries I tried to put the trash bags in the freezer! Or let's talk about how I kept walking down the grocery aisle of wal-mart looking for soap
smh! Needless to say, I was completely losing it but I was determined to end the week strong! Was it hard? Of course! But, did I make it through? HECK YEAH! #BARELY
I'm saying all this just to point out the fact that we all make it through those super rough weeks alive! So for me, this Sunday is gonna be all about resetting, recharging and resting! I normally feel back to myself after one day of rest but I am here to tell you that if you need a week-long vacay in vegas to feel better then do you boo...do you! We all navigate life differently so I would assume that one would reset differently as well! Today I plan to do a few simple things that will help me slay the upcoming week!
- Make a date with my pillow. No seriously, I plan on sleeping for 85 hours tomorrow and I do NOT want to be disturbed! Ha!
- I normally don't use a lot of social media on the weekends in general but ya girl will not be strolling the internet in no way shape or form except in moments of pure boredom!
- Drink my coffee from my bed! This one may seem small but I normally have my coffee and that offsets my morning into other tasks. Tomorrow, there will be no other task. I mean it!
- In no way shape or form am I cooking breakfast tomorrow, as a matter of fact, I'm just gonna eat some oatmeal and call it a day. Let me just say this, breakfast is the most skipped meal of the day not only because it is time-consuming but it's also very inconvenient! Ha! Therefore, I will not be slaving in the kitchen, I will instead have two cups of coffee and call it a morning!
- After I wake up from my morning nap, I'm gonna shower, eat lunch and prepare myself for my evening nap as well! Hey! Don't judge, this girl has gotta get that beauty rest before Monday rolls around to snatch my wig! Ha!
