Antique Shopping Is My Favorite Thing To Do In The Whole Entire World!
A little while ago I was in Waco, Texas with the family and decided to shop around for a few things at a local antique store. You guys KNOW I love to thrift on the regular so of course I couldn't hide my excitement when I fell across this little hidden gem within the city. Now don't get me wrong, I didn't know what to expect when I wandered into this place but what I can say is that I did find something that I fell in love with and decided to purchase it for myself! Wana know what I got? Keep reading!
First things first, this place was a little weird! There were soooo many things stacked up all around the store that it was almost impossible to enter!
I wanted to take this cute little wooden reindeer home but I just reminded myself that it doesn't match ANYTHING at all! Ha! #rashdecisions
As soon as I walked into the store I was overwhelmed with all of the unique pieces that they had to offer! I wasn't planning on spending a lot of money but I could already feel a hole burning in my purse!
These are definitely the type of dollies that you see right before the jumpscare in horror films! HA!
I don't really know what this means but it's NOT something I would keep in my living room!
I really loved that this little store had quite a few scientific and industrial creations!
Dismantle the radio, but make it ART!
They also had lots of little record sections around the store filled with music from the '40s and '50s!
As I was passing through the store I kept hearing this little
chirp chirp sound and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that it was a cute little set of lovebirds over in the corner! I had a pair just like this as a kiddo and it definitely brought back all of the feels!
I thought it was super unique that I found this little section where you can buy pictures from someone else's past time! I know people don't have many printed photos anymore but it has definitely inspired me to start printing out a few of my photos every now and again!
If you have been reading in this space for a while then you will know that I am a HUGE fan of reading and love to get my books every which way that I can! One of my favorite ways to buy a new book is through thrifting and donations because not only is it affordable but I can always donate them back so that someone else can read them. I never keep books that I read mainly because I never read the same book twice and I don't have much room in my home to store them! So it's pretty much a win-win situation! If you're ever looking for a few books to read but don't have the money the thrift store is ALWAYS a good place to start because you can find quite a few hidden gems in there!
Do you know of all the things I have done in my life I can honestly say I have never sent or received a postcard in the mail? #HOWMILLENIAL But it's true! I need to change that ASAP!
As you can see, I scored a small little cutie from the thrift store today! I found the cutest pink little teacup and I couldn't be more excited about it! And to my surprise, it was ONLY $3! What a steal!
Well, that's the end of my little thrift store adventures! Do you think I got a good deal? Let me know in the comments down below! See you all tomorrow!
