Smore's Date Nights By The Fire!
Smore's Date Nights By The Fire!
When I woke up this morning, the sun was shining but the ground was soaking wet. Apparently, it had stormed all night long and brought a little cold front into the city. Of course, I wasn't expecting this but this is Texas and this place is known to be very surprising. Anyways, as soon as I finished a good cup of coffee, I decided to open my computer and get a bit of work done. As soon as I signed into one of my email accounts, I saw these pictures and remembered what a lovely time this was. I don't know about anyone else but I love when Google or my Iphone sends me those little
"this time this year" pop-ups because it makes me super nostalgic and happy when I look at them. It feels like little love letters from the past and it's a feature I hope they keep forever. Anyways, today these were the pictures that decided to pop back into my life. This was two Christmases ago and it really does feel like it was yesterday! These photos were especially funny because it was his first time making Smore's and I'm wondering why I didn't introduce this into his life sooner! Ha! #WorstGirlfriendEver
The fire was popping everywhere so we decided to load up our Marshmallows and get it popping! Ha!
We loaded up our chocolate and pilled it all in between our marshmallows! Of course, you can leave it up to me to want to add 10 pieces of chocolate to my Smore but I stopped before I even started! :)
As you can tell I am laughing it up because now the fire is really starting to pick up and my boyfriend is starring to get nervous! I tell him we've made it this far and it's too late to back out now! heehehehehehe ;)
Anyways, we both started to heat up our marshmallows and I love mines super crisp! I don't know why but the more burnt they are, the better they taste to me! I like to let the fire simmer for a while longer so that it can be extra ooey and gooey! I'm telling you, it's the only way to eat a good Smore!
I usually can get my Smore a little more burnt than this but I was impatient and wanted to eat mines right away! If you look over to the other side you can see my poor boyfriends Smore is falling apart😭! Poor thing just could not get it together! He knows that I will be laughing at this for years to come and I will never, ever let him live this moment down!
And that's what I love so much about reminiscing about the good ole days! It's always wonderful when I can look back on these moments and remember exactly what I was doing and thinking. They say a picture can say a 1000 words but I know for a fact that a picture can bring back 2000 memories....
