The Cutest Earrings That Make My Pixie Cut Stand Out
When it comes to Jewelry, I must say that I am the simplest girl of them all! I mainly keep my pieces to a minimal but this year I am starting to feel a bit fancier than usual. One of my New Year goals was to step outside of my comfort zone when it comes to trying new accessories and what better way to try that than with a cute pair of earrings. I know what you're probably thinking... it's only a pair of earrings, how hard can it be? Well, it can be very hard when you are so used to wearing smaller, pearl type pieces the majority of your life. So instead of whining about not having any fierce pieces, I have decided to invest more into my personal accessories and style. Now, in the beginning, I thought I would be able to go to the store, fall in love with the first pair of earrings I saw and walk out of there with my new favorite piece of jewelry. BOY WAS I WRONG! I know I walked around several stores looking for something I liked and I couldn't bring myself to purchase one single item. I mean, I knew I was picky but I didn't think I was THAT picky! Anyways, as soon as I was about to give up on my little adventure my mama thought of a better idea that may help me feel at peace with the jewelry that I really wanted. She decided to make me a custom pair just for me.
As soon as I heard my mama make this offer, I knew I had to take it. You see, my mama is the DIY queen and she can literally make anything in the world! She was so creative with everything that she does that she would often take over my craft projects at school when I was a kid and I would win something every time! Ha! So when she decided to bless my little ears with a new creation I was instantly on board! Naturally, I didn't have a specific earring envisioned in my brain but I knew I didn't have to because my mama would do all of the vision work on her own. She knows that I'm still a high-key simple person and she also knows that more than anything I wanted a small piece of fanciness added to my collection and not a full-blown glam earring that I probably would never wear.
As soon as I laid my eyes on these cute little brown earrings I was sooo excited! Not only did they fit me perfectly but I received so many compliments everytime that I wear them out in the city! I don't know what I was expecting my mama to make BUT I am so glad that they turned the way that they did. I guess this means that for the future I am going to have to recruit my mama to make all of my pieces so that I can feel fancy during all times of the week! Ha!
