Leopard Shoes, Comfy Jumpsuits And A $12 Maroon Turtle Neck Sweater
Winter is here and so is the style inspo!
As some of you guys may already know, winter is literally the hardest month for me to dress for! I don't know about anyone else but this type of weather makes we want to jump into my comfiest sweat pants and just call it a day but on days like today, that's just not possible. It's not like I had some fancy event to attend but I needed to get dressed for someone more important....and that was Jesus Christ! Yup, this girl attended church and because I am from the south, it is of the utmost importance to dress to impress....the Lord that is! Those sweat pants that I love running my errands in weren't gonna cut it today and that's ok! I knew I was going to need something that was cute but also super comfortable for service ahead. That's when I decided to take a little peek into my closet to see what I was working with!
From the looks of the weather lately, I knew that it would be absolutely freezing outside which meant that this was the perfect opportunity for some layers. Now, I know I was risking it with these layers because
ya know, it's Texas and it can get hot faster than the speed of light, but I just had to take the chance while the opportunity presented itself. With that being said, I knew I needed to bring out my favorite coat that I purchased on sale a few seasons back and rock it while I still had the chance!
This little coat is my favorite coat in the entire world. I am not much of a coat wearer in general but when I do decide to pop one on, it has to be lightweight and roomy so that I can wear knit sweaters underneath. I think the most important factor of a good coat is that it is easy to layer and is black so that it can go with literally anything in my wardrobe.
As you can see, it has started to heat up just a tad bit and it is definitely time to take off my coat. The weather is very tricky here and I would much rather have something that is easy to remove than to be carrying a huge coat all around the city! Nonetheless, this little coat gets the job done and I haven't been able to find anything like it since I purchased it so I am very grateful that it is still in my life! Ha!
But before we go any further can we focus on these cute little leopard boots that I found at the thrift store. Ok well......my mama found the shoes for me at the thrift store but that's another story for another day! #ILOVETHEMSOMUCH
Anyways, as soon as I bought these I have been itching to style them. Believe it or not but this is my very first pair of leopard shoes and they are definitely a pair I plan on keeping for a very long time! Also, since leopard is considered a basic, I do find that it was easier to style them than I initially thought! As soon as I slid these little shoes on I knew I did the right thing by adding them to this little outfit! The shoes really made the entire look pop and I am in love!
And on to the more important and most fun part of this post, the jumpsuit! Have you guys not seen anything so cute in your lives? Ha! I'm only kidding but as you can see I am kind of obsessed with it!
Not only is it super comfortable but it fit me absolutely perfectly! I ordered it online in an xs and it was still kind of oversized! I am super glad that I followed my first mind and ordered in my actual size! It's kind of tricky ordering online and sometimes I make the wrong choices but I am glad I got this one right!
I love that I can wear this with chunky sweaters, graphic tees, and leather jackets! This is definitely going to be a major staple piece in my winter/spring wardrobe so look out for other ways that I plan to style it!
PS: I decided to wear a pair of dangly earrings today paired with a stack of my favorite rings! If you guys would like to see a post on all of my favorite jewelry pieces let me know below! I have recently decided to pick back up on my love for rings and I am very glad that I am back at it!
Anyways, that's it for this quick little outfit post! I will probably wear this outfit 8 million times this season but it's an amazing staple piece! I fall in and out of love with jumpsuits all the time but I think I may have found the perfect one that works for me!! Do you guys think I found an amazing piece???
